C Family | Fort Collins Backyard Photoshoot
I headed down to Fort Collins, Colorado, on a lovely, early spring morning to hang with the bestie of a bestie to shoot an in-home family photography session. This wonderfully funny and beautiful family added a sweet little boy to their home last year, and I hadn’t had the chance to meet him yet! We spent the sunny morning in their backyard, checking out snow piles and listening to the quiet chirp of the neighbors chickens (c’mon, Cheyenne!! Pass that chicken ordinance! I promise you won’t regret it).
Seriously, what two year old can resist mud and garden odds and ends? Add in a game of peek a boo and you’ve got a grin!
Once the little man was up from his nap, we added him into the mix. I’ll be the first to admit, non-sitting babies are not easy to photograph. Lots of floppiness. But we still got some cuddly shots of the kiddos, with their budding personalities to boot!
A bit more running around (involving dolls, more dirt, and a few quickly dealt with tears), and we headed inside for lunch. I can’t recommend these in-home/backyard sessions enough! Quick, painless, and memories of time spent with your kids in the backyard you love. I PROMISE you won’t regret it. Heck, schedule me for a kids only session and I’ll happily hang with the kiddos in the backyard while you drink coffee and read the paper in precious silence inside. Who can say no to that??
