Now that we live in southeast Wyoming, I love that I’ve gotten to spend so much time in Laramie! Skiing at Snowy Range Ski Area, events at the University of Wyoming, eating some delicious Sweet Melissa’s…you can’t keep me away from that buffalo wing cauliflower.
It also means that I’ve met some wonderfully awesome clients from Laramie! When Shelby got in touch about a January maternity session, but said she lived in Laramie, I knew I was dealing with someone who wasn’t going to be fazed by the possibility of VERY cold weather and snow. Normally I ask that winter maternity clients have an indoor backup, but if it was too cold and snowy for her session outside, it would be too cold and snowy for me to make the drive over the summit, so we just made plans and hoped we could stick with it.
We were rewarded for our bravery! We somehow managed a bluebird day at the Happy Jack Recreation Area near the I-80 summit. Sunshine, no wind (WHAT), yet still plenty of snow for a wintery maternity wonderland.
While I’m located in Cheyenne, I am always happy to travel to Laramie for sessions! The weather can be a bit dicey in the winter, but I’ve got snow tires, a Subaru, and experience driving Happy Jack Road in the winter. If you’re interested in a maternity session, you can find more information here!
