B+K | Wellington Colorado Newborn Session

I met Brittany and Kyle when we met up for a family photo session at Riverbends Ponds Natural Area in Fort Collins a couple years ago. Kyle is a member of the Roosevelt Hotshots, a 20 person wildland fire crew based out of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, and Brittany thought we might be a good fit with my past experience on a hotshot crew. It turned out to be beneficial, as there is no harder person to schedule with than a hotshot, and I was more than happy to be as flexible as possible for this sweet family!

Thankfully, their sweet baby K showed up post-fire season, so scheduling newborn photos at their house in Wellington, CO wasn’t too much of a challenge. But we did manage to schedule them for the first chilly day in late October, and after a long, drawn out fall, I don’t think any of us were quite prepared for the cold! Luckily, Brittany had lots of cozy blankets on hand. (And is there anything better than a St. Bernard???)

I’m so happy to have this family in my life, and am even more happy to have another little hotshot baby in the world!
