Spring is just around the corner (hopefully), so time to celebrate the warmer temps and sunshine with spring school photos at Imagination Destination.

To help make the process a bit easier, I’ve put together a short “What To Wear” guide, as well as some FAQs for your spring school photos.

Note: Payment will only be required when purchasing prints or digitals. No purchase required to have your child photographed.

Who Am I?

I’m Liz, and I’ve been a family and newborn photographer since 2016. I’ve photographed hundreds of Cheyenne families over the last 8 years, and am thrilled to have the chance to photograph your child!

I have three girls of my own, and am fully aware of the struggle to get halfway decent school photos at all ages. My goal is to make this process as easy and laid-back as I can for both you and your kids.

How This Works

ID staff will let you know which day your child(ren) and sibling groups will be photographed.

Your child will spend 1-3 minutes in front of the camera, once they’re ready for photos. No child will be forced to have their photo taken, but we’ll make a second attempt, if needed.

Note: you only pay when you purchase prints or digitals. No payment is needed to have your child photographed.

Once their photos have been taken, your child will bring home a printed QR code/access code to view your gallery at lizputnam.gotphoto.com. Use this access code to link your child’s photos to your email address.

Each child and sibling group will have their own access code.

Multiple email addresses can be linked to each gallery, so you’re welcome to share access codes with family and friends who may want to view or purchase.

If you don’t have an access code, you can contact me at [email protected] or call Imagination Destination to ask for your access code.

Galleries will be available by April 8, 2024. You will receive an email as soon as your gallery is ready.

If you have multiple children and/or sibling photos, you will receive one email with a log in for all your galleries.

Most children will have 3-5 images, but it will depend on how your little one was feeling about photo day!

You will have the ability to purchase digital images, as well as prints. Prints will be available from wallet size through 8×10, and will be shipped to your door. No more squished prints!

Your gallery will be available until May 5, 2024, and all orders will be eligible for a 10% discount during the first week (exp 4/14/24).

What To Wear

School photos should reflect your child’s personality. Are they a “leggings only” kind of kid? Awesome! Do they have a favorite dinosaur shirt? Fantastic. Do they want a giant bow and curls for photo day? Bring it!

Your Spring 2024 Photo Day will use a white backdrop with no props – this means that any color, any style, and any outfit will look its best!

Babies who are working on head control will be photographed laying down, while all other children will either be photographed standing up, sitting on the floor/lap/stepstool. Babies may have full body photos, but most kids will only be photographed from the knees and above (no feet).

I’ve included a few example outfits on the white backdrop below. All outfits are from Walmart and Target.

Model Release

Your child’s photos will never be used without your permission.

If you would be okay with your child’s photo being used for marketing purposes for Liz Putnam Photography, please click the button to fill out a model release form.

Parents who sign a model release will be emailed a 20% one-time use coupon for their child’s school photos within 24 hours of completing this form. Discounts cannot be stacked. Offer will expire on 5/5/24.

Frequently Asked Questions

You will find your photos at lizputnam.gotphoto.com. Each child and sibling group will have their own gallery, which can only be accessed with their access code.

My options for private galleries for volume sessions are limited, so I’m currently using GotPhoto.

GotPhoto has a tricky mobile interface, so I’ve put together a Parents’ Guide To GotPhoto Mobile with some tips on how to add items to your cart.

Head to lizputnam.gotphoto.com and use your access code or QR code to log in. You will have an access code for each child and sibling group.

If the gallery is ready, you will immediately see photos. If the gallery is not ready, you will see a note letting you know that you will receive an email once the photos have been uploaded.

Your gallery (or galleries, if you have multiple children/siblings) should be available by April 8th, 2024.

If you have not received an email letting you know your gallery is ready, email me at [email protected]. Gallery emails do occasionally get lost in spam!

If you can’t find your access code, or your access code isn’t working, send me an email at [email protected]. Include your child’s name (or children’s names), teacher name, as well as your name, and I will reply with your access code(s).

You can also call Imagination Destination to ask for your code.

My goal is to get a minimum of 3 images for each child or sibling group, with a maximum of 5 images.

The number of images I can take will depend on how your child is feeling about having their photo taken. I don’t want to stress your child out, so if it seems like they’re only becoming more unhappy with the situation, we’ll stop taking photos.

For babies that are still working on their head control, they will be photographed from above, laying on their backs on a blanket/boppy pillow.

Babies who can hold their heads up but cannot sit without help will be assisted by an ID staff member.

In the rare situation where a child won’t stop crying, or is clearly upset and inconsolable, no photos will be taken. If this happens, I will have ID staff let you know before galleries are delivered. I won’t force kids who are upset to have their photo taken.

Nope! The gallery host I use may prompt you to buy a package first, but if you click “Individual Products” towards the top of the page, you’ll be taken to individual prints.

Your child’s gallery will be available until May 5, 2024. Once it is archived, you will no longer be able to purchase or download photos.

Any requests to reopen galleries will require payment of a $25 retrieval fee, prior to gallery re-opening.

If you haven’t received your order within a week of ordering, please reach out ASAP! Most orders ship packed in cardboard, so watch your doorstep!
