Frequently Asked Questions

ABOUT YOUR GALLERY

I do my best to get at least one giggle out of every kid in front of my camera, but unfortunately, sometimes they just aren’t feeling it!

Reasons kids don’t smile:

  • Teething
  • Recently got over being sick/starting to get sick
  • Got in a fight with their friend while waiting their turn
  • They want to play with the toys instead
  • They’re mad they had to change clothes
  • Someone wiped their nose
  • Upset that their brother/sister touched them
  • Stranger danger (super common in 12-24 month olds)

I spend as much time as I can with each child, but with 100+ kids to photograph, sometimes we just have to plan to try again next fall/spring. And remember: just because your child didn’t smile this time, doesn’t mean they won’t smile next time!

My goal is to get at least 3 photos/child (or sibling group), but it depends on how your child is feeling that day.

I don’t offer retakes for ID photo days, but we typically plan on two sessions per year. Once in April and once in November.

I do! You can request retouching by emailing me at [email protected]. I offer retouching at $10/photo.

ORDERING YOUR PHOTOS

Head to the gallery homepage and input your child’s access code(s) to view their galleries.

If you don’t have their access code, use this form to request their access code, or email me at [email protected]. You will need to provide your name, your child’s name, and your email address, which must match the information provided to me by your child’s school.

Yes! You will need to select the photo you want to purchase, click “Buy This Photo”, at which point you will have the ability to purchase a single download.

Yes! While in your child’s gallery, head to the top of the screen. Click “a la carte” which will take you to the single product (both downloads and prints).

You can also select the photo you want to purchase, click “Buy This Photo”, at which point you will have the ability to purchase a single print.

GotPhoto has a tricky mobile interface (and I haven’t found a better option), so I’ve put together a Parents’ Guide To GotPhoto Mobile with some tips on how to add items to your cart.

If you’re still having trouble, please email me at [email protected], and I’ll be happy to help!

Yes! Email me at [email protected] with any requests. I’m happy to offer prints up to 12×18, as well as canvases.

Every parent email on file with your school will have received an email with a link to your gallery(ies). That said, spam filters are getting more aggressive, and a lot of these emails don’t make it through!

If you need me to email you your child’s access code, use this form to request their access code, or email me at [email protected]. You will need to provide your name, your child’s name, and your email address, which must match the information provided to me by your child’s school.

While the professional printer I use packages your prints beautifully, the USPS can occasionally wreak havoc. If your order shows up damaged, please email me at [email protected], and I will get it re-printed. I do ask that you include photos of the damages, so the printer and I can file a claim with the USPS.

If you’ve requested your photos be delivered to the school, they will be delivered in perfect condition! If they are damaged after being dropped off at the school and you need reprints, I am happy to reprint at 50% of the original cost.

If your order is incorrect, please email me at [email protected], and we will get your order corrected.

You can contact me at [email protected], or at (307) 316-2001.

OTHER QUESTIONS

I do! I photograph families of all ages in Cheyenne and northern Colorado throughout the year.

You can find more about my family sessions at this link.

I try and offer indoor mini sessions in early November. To be on the list for when those are available for booking, sign up for my newsletter at this link.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR PHOTOS

Galleries will be available by Nov 18th.

You will be sent an email with a link to your gallery/galleries by Nov 18th. Check your spam folder!

I will be sending home a paper flyer with students the week of Nov 18th, with access code(s) to use at the gallery homepage:

Missing your access code?

Spam filters and messy backpacks mean access codes go missing!

If you haven’t received an access code for your child’s photos by Nov 20th, please use this form to request your code. You can also email me at [email protected].

Who Am I?

I’m Liz, and I’ve been a family and newborn photographer since 2016. I’ve photographed hundreds of Cheyenne families over the last 9 years, and am thrilled to have the chance to photograph your child!

I have three girls of my own, and am fully aware of the struggle to get halfway decent school photos at all ages. My goal is to make this process as easy and laid-back as I can for both you and your kids.

If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected].

WHAT TO WEAR FOR SCHOOL PHOTOS

Keeping it clean and simple, your child will be photographed on a solid gray backdrop.

No props! For kiddos who need a bit of security and comfort, feel free to request they keep their lovey and/or treasured toy for the photo.

For more tips on what to wear, head to this link!

WHAT TO WEAR EXAMPLES

School photos should reflect your child’s personality. Are they a “leggings only” kind of kid? Awesome! Do they have a favorite dinosaur shirt? Fantastic. Do they want a giant bow and curls for photo day? Bring it!

Your Fall 2025 Photo Day will use a gray backdrop with no props – this means that any color, any style, and any outfit will look its best!

I’ve included a few example outfits on the gray backdrop below.
