Family photos have a reputation as a stuffy, boring, uncomfortable affair. Uncomfortable clothes, stress, nerves. Making small talk with a stranger while hoping (just this once) that your kids aren’t maniacs.

That’s not me.

I want your family photos to feel like a summer evening in the backyard. You know the one, right? Birds chirping, late day sunshine, giggles, kicked back in the chair with a cold beer in hand.

While I can’t promise the beer during your session, I can promise that you’ll leave your session feeling better than when you arrived. I’ll joke with your kids, chat with your spouse, tell you what to do with your hands, and exactly where to look. I have a knack for bringing out the best in families, making them feel comfortable, making them feel seen.

Laid back sessions

Don’t get me wrong – my family sessions are full of walking, skipping, and adventure for the little ones in your family. But movement = happy kids = happy parents = awesome photo sessions.

I’ll let your kids be their crazy little selves, but somehow we’ll still get gorgeous photos of your family, doing their awesome thing.

My family sessions are happy, fun chaos, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the process is!

I respond to all emails within 24 hours. Need help figuring out an outfit? I’m here. Not sure where to meet? I’ll check in with a location pin before your session. Can’t remember what the contract said? You’ve got a link in your inbox.

Deluxe Family Session

$1100

This session is designed for families who want to see their family photos in print!

Deluxe Family Sessions include:

  • All your final digital images (75+ images)
  • Session can be located in Fort Collins, Longmont, Loveland, Boulder, and surrounding areas.
  • Priority edits (see FAQ below)
  • $450 product credit (albums, prints, wall art)
  • Flexible rescheduling, weekend availability
  • Includes extended family up to 20 people

Full Family Session

$750

My most popular session. Includes all the images from your session, at some of my favorite locations.

Full Family Sessions include:

  • All your final digital images (typically 75+ images)
  • Session locations include all of Fort Collins: Lory State Park, Lee Martinez Park, Legacy Park, Arapahoe Bend, Riverbend Ponds, and more.
  • $200 product credit (see FAQ below)
  • Available for travel to Loveland and Longmont locations, for a small additional fee.
  • Includes extended family up to 10 people

Petite Family Session

$400

Perfect for families who just need a quick update for the holiday card!

Includes a limited number of images. Very limited availability.

Petite Family Sessions include:

  • Up to 5 images for download
  • Additional images can be purchased (see FAQ below)
  • Pre-determined location in Fort Collins
  • Limited rescheduling (see FAQ)
  • Additional images start at $25 each, or $200 for the full gallery.

PRICING FAQ

Petite Family Session clients can purchase additional images for $25 each, or $200 for the full gallery. Your images can be purchased after receiving your gallery.
If you choose to purchase the full gallery at the time of booking, you will be able to purchase the full gallery for $175.

Deluxe and Full Sessions include all the final images, in an online gallery.

Product credit is $200-450 that can be used in your gallery store, towards any type of printed product.

The gallery store includes prints (4×6 through 24×36), canvas prints, albums, and more.

If you would like to see a price list ahead of booking, please let me know.

I schedule 2-3 Petite Sessions/night. To reschedule, we will need to find you an opening on my Petite Session calendar. If you are unable to make the remaining dates work, you can put your $100 deposit towards a 2025 Mini Session or 2026 Family Session.

Deluxe and Full Session clients will have more flexibility with rescheduling.

All family galleries will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session.


As a bonus, Deluxe Family Session clients receive Priority Edits – their session will be placed at the top of the editing queue, and delivered within one week of their session.

Yes! Extended families are quickly becoming one of my favorite types of sessions. Each extended family session includes a small mini session for each family inside the larger session, and all family members are welcome to download.

Deluxe Family Sessions include up to 20 people. Full Family Sessions include up to 10 people.

Extended Family Sessions

Extended family sessions are one of my most often requested family sessions! I include up to 10 family members in Full Family Sessions, and up to 20 family members in Deluxe Family Sessions.

To schedule, use my Contact Page to inquire. Please include the number of people being photographed (estimates are fine), as well as the location and desired session date.

Note: I take very limited sessions holiday breaks, so get in touch early to inquire! I am not available from December 20-28.

Digital Images

Digital images will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session, in an online gallery.

Clients who purchase a full gallery of images will be able to share the entire gallery with family and friends, for unlimited downloads.

Petite Family Sessions include up to 5 digital images for download. Additional images can be purchased after the gallery is received.

Albums

Albums are professionally designed and printed, with either a linen or leather cover. Albums included with the Deluxe Family Session include up to 30 pages, with your family name and/or year embossed on the front cover.

Albums are available for a la carte purchase. Please contact me for purchase at [email protected].

Canvas Prints

All canvas prints are 1.5″ deep, stretched over a wooden frame, and come ready to hang.

Canvases can be purchased a la carte, at any time. Please contact me to [email protected] for more information or to order.

Prices shown above do not include sales tax. WY sales tax will be charged on all sessions and products, and tax rate will depend on the location of the session. Contact me at [email protected] to purchase albums and canvas prints after you’ve received your gallery.

How It Works

01 | Inquire

To get started, fill out my contact form. You’ll receive a reply from me in 24 hours.

To book your session time and date, I will send links to a contract and invoice for the deposit ($100).

02 | Plan

We’ll chat about location ideas, and I’ll send tips for what to wear, based on location and time of year.

I’m available by email to answer any additional questions about your session prior to session day.

03 | Session Day

I’ll check in with you by text a day or two before your session to make sure the date and time still works, along with a location pin for where to meet.

Family sessions typically last 45 minutes, but can take 10-15 minutes longer for families who need a few minutes to warm up.

04 | Gallery Delivery

You’ll receive your online gallery within 2-3 weeks of your session (with a few sneak peeks in your inbox within a week of your session).

Family photo galleries can be shared with family and friends, for unlimited downloads.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most family clients book their session 3-4 months ahead of their session date. Other than in-home sessions, most of my sessions are outdoors and take place between mid-May and late October.

Fort Collins has no shortage of AMAZING locations for family photos, thanks to all the open space and natural areas in Larmier County.

Lee Martinez Park along the Poudre River, Running Deer Natural Area, Lory State Park, Horsetooth Reservoir, Old Town…my personal preference is for tall grass and river bottoms, along with a smattering of foothills and pines, but I’ll never turn down some photos of beers on a brewery patio!

Quite a few of the locations in Fort Collins require a permit for photography. Handling the permit process is part of my job, but you may notice the permit fee added to your invoice for certain locations ($30 or less, and I’ll let you know ahead of time).

I schedule most of my family sessions to start 1-2 hours before sunset, depending on location. As we get closer to the mountains, sunset time gets bumped up!

This might be the most important question in this FAQ! Absolutely! Dogs are always welcome at my family photo sessions. Let me know ahead of time if you plan on bringing your pup, and I’ll make sure the location we’re headed is dog friendly.

As with anything in Colorado, be prepared for snow earlier than you think! Peak fall color is typically from Oct 1-25, but that can vary depending on location and weather.

I schedule most of my outdoor family sessions for mid-May through late October.

Galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks of your session. Your session includes all the final files, which means you can share the link with any family or friends who may want to download!

Yes! In-home family photo sessions are some of my favorites, especially in winter. For examples of my indoor work, check out my newborn session page!

I do! I’ve photographed families all over the Front Range, from Denver to Fort Collins to Longmont to Broomfield to Wellington. You can find my newborn session info here.

I do! Since extended families can range from 4 to 20+ people, I only offer these as a custom quote. Most extended family sessions start at $700.

About Liz

Colorado has been my second home since 2001. Married to a CSU grad on the banks of the Big Thompson in Loveland, I’m frequently in Longmont to visit family and friends. We’re currently just over the border in Cheyenne, but are no stranger to the restaurants and hiking/biking trails in northern Colorado.

I’m the mom of three girls, employed by two unappreciative cats, emotional support human for an anxious collie, and married to a wildland firefighter. My photo sessions are fun, laid-back and will be the best night you’ve spent with your family all summer!
