N + D | Longmont Newborn Photographer

I met N + D at their awesome mid-century home in Longmont, CO, for an at home newborn photo session on a gorgeous late fall day. I was in love with their house as soon as I pulled up – just the perfect amount of sunshine, warmth and coziness for newborn photos with their sweet babe (and two pups!).

Longmont has a special place in my heart – my husband grew up in a home on the west side of Longmont, and my in-laws still live there, so I spend most holidays and birthdays at their home. I’ve photographed weddings at Roosevelt Park and Oskar Blues Oak Room, painted pottery at Crackpots with my kids, and eaten more Georgia Boys’ BBQ, Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, and Santiago’s burritos than you can imagine. It’s an easy drive down I-25, one I’ve made a million times, plus I get some bonus time with my admittedly awesome in-laws. 🙂

We kept it simple for N + D’s photos. They had a beautiful, neutral colored bedspread on their master bed, with ALLLLL the sunshine and texture. I don’t usually have a ton of opportunities for sunshine and backlight during an at home newborn photoshoot, so I took as much advantage of it as I could!

I always make sure to include the family dogs when I can, and these two sweet pups were no exception. They were VERY much a part of the family, and I was thrilled to have the chance to include them! When not being photographed, they made sure to keep a very, very close eye on their family.

We finished the session where we started, with some cozy photos of baby alone on the master bed. While I don’t require that I have access to the master bedroom for newborn photos, it can be a great place for some simple photos of baby by themselves! As you can see from these photos, I didn’t need to include the whole room, so you don’t need to worry about the bassinet by your bed, or what might happen to be on your nightstand.

Pricing

I do charge a small travel fee for newborn sessions in Longmont, Loveland, Louisville, and Boulder to cover the additional time. Newborn sessions in these locations are $599, and include all the final images from your session, in an online gallery. You are welcome to share the gallery with family and friends for viewing and unlimited downloads.

About Me

I’m located just over the border in Cheyenne, WY, but have spent a majority of the last ten years traveling between Wyoming and Colorado. Not only do I have family in Longmont, Parker and Brighton, but my husband and I were married in Loveland, on the banks of the Big Thompson River!
